Fingering Chart

Here you will find the fingering chart with audio samples of each line so that you know which valves to use and how the notes should sound like.

Attention

Some notes have different names (F# and Gb, G# and Ab, and so on). However, they sound exactly the same, so you have to use the same valves.

In the audio samples, you will therefore only hear one note per bar, i.e. four notes per line.

Remember

T T T = you don't have to press any valves

_ T T = first valve only

_ _ _ = press down all valves

... and so on ...

different octaves - different names

As you can see, all notes occur multiple times (most three times) within the range of a trumpet.

In order to be able to distinguish between the notes, a number is used to specify the octave in which a note is located.

The range of a well trained trumpet player could be from F#3 to C6 but depends very much on individual ability.
